I wonder if this stuff could be used by dialysis patients that want to go in the ocean or swimming pool without risking infection.

Do you have a link? When I looked it up it was something you spread on your furniture or whatever to protect it. I can't figure out how you would use it on a human. Unless you saw a product I missed.
