I am with you, Bob! Once you start doing your own needles, it really becomes no big deal. I can't believe I would ever say those words! Congratulations on doing it yourself! :clap;

Thanks Angie. Likewise for you.

If I had the eyesight, or if my fistula was further down my arm, I might have learned how to put in my own needles. It certainly would be easier for travel, to not worry about the skill of the person putting in the needles.
At one time, my friend Kelly was thinking about training as a dialysis tech. I would have loved that, since then I'd have someone I trusted putting in my needles when I was in NY. *G*

I seem to be very fortunate as my wife needles for me. she is very good, alot better than nurses. Any way I am worried that she will start feeling trapped as her family is overseas. The supplier sends Xylocaine each month but we are not using it - i put up with the pain. I might need to start using it and learn to do myself so my wife can have a break.
