Bob Here.
Just a note out of the blue to thank everyone for their participation in IHD. And certainly to everyone responsible for keeping the site going.
Having been in corporate America for 35 years, I know first hand what a cold world it is out there. Especially for someone with a long-term illness.
My blogs tend toward the humorous aspects of our lifestyle issues, because I've always believed that laughing beats the heck out of crying. But I know I speak for many, if not all participants in IHD in saying that it means a lot to have so many caring and understanding people at your beckon when a problem arises.
I read a lot of the responses when someone posts about being in trouble. The tone of the responses is not of one stranger talking to another, but of family members tending to one of their own.
I'm usually not big on using the message icons. I'm always afraid that I will hose it up. (Technology is not my strong suit.) But, this time, I'm going to give it a shot.
This one's for all my IHD brothers and sisters:
:beer1;
(Phew. Glad I didn't do the "mooning" one by mistake.)
Take care.

No, thank YOU, Bob. Your posts bring light to the gloom that comes with this territory. A good laugh is sometimes all it takes to push away the storm clouds of kidney disease and bring back the sunshine of life. You've brought me to giggles more than once. Humor is a gift, and I'm glad that you choose to share your gift with us.

See, Bob? It's a "mistake" that could happen to anyone!
