Last night at Hemo I started to cramp at just over 3 hours of 4 hour session. The nurse turned down the speed to the minimum. Then after the cramping stopped, she turned it back up, and viola, I cramped again. I hate when that happens.
-
I hate dialysis when the PD machine won't stop alarming and just let me sleep.
-
I hate dialysis when I have to go it! :rofl;
I agree with Whamo: The cramping can be excruciating! :'(

As a caregiver/partner of home D, ;D I hate dialysis when hubby is hungry through the whole thing and i am fixing snacks, cleaning up, fixing more, cleaning up, sitting him up to eat said snacks, putting him back to lay position, and all the while, he's still not really compfy or settled AND then cramping!! I HATE when that happens!! But that IS the only time i hate it... Mostly smooth sailing, so cant complain (hum, i just did :o ) I Just like him compfy and well, sleeping is best..hehehe Ok,, this has turned into a bit of a 'needed' i guess vent :shy;

I hate... when my BP drops during Hemo - Then I feel worn out the rest of the day
-
ok,,,,,,,, i hate that because of dialysis, i am so often so sad watching my hubby tied to the machine, and seeing others suffer with this... Tonight im feeling so sad for those starting, and those with little ones, and for those loosing loved ones because of stupid kidney failure. I know this isnt quite what this thread is about, but sometimes dialysis just makes me sad..

I hate dialysis when ..... people around me are LOUD and wake me up. I wish Nocturnal had girls night and boys night.
-
I hate dialysis when I can't eat what I want
-
I hate dialysis when I'm having to go to dialysis
-
I hate dialysis on all days ending in a "Y"
-
I'm still pre-D but am very apprehensive about "sleepfarters".
:o
-
especially since for all I know, I might be one myself. But I'm sure any of you would be too polite to let me know... 8)
-
I miss out on things to do with friends and family because I have to go to dialysis.
-
I hate dialysis when the PD machine won't stop alarming and just let me sleep.
What Jeannea said - I really hate when the stupid PD machine keeps alarming when I'm trying to sleep.
-
I hate dialysis when.....
I'm stuck having to hear other peoples TV shows blairing. :banghead; :stressed; :boxing;
-
I hate dialysis when the radio that the nurses use is louder that the tv i am trying to watch even on headphones
-
I hate dialysis when I even think about starting it. Scares me silly!!!
-
I hate dialysis the most when I think about how much it has cost my family. Financially. Emotionally. I hate the way my crap has become the center of our world and how everything else has to revolve around dialysis. It just doesn't sit well with me...
-
I hate dialysis when in the summer they have the a/c cranked and the vent is blowing on you freezing your :sir ken; off even with a blanket. :stressed; :banghead;
-
I hate dialysis when the guy next to me has to use the urinal. COme on go to the washroom before you get hooked up. But it's like clock work every night at around 8:30 the nurses come with the curtains.
If this doesn't stop soon I am going to request another spot.
-
Sleepfarters? :rofl;
-
Sleepfarters? :rofl;
That was from another post.
-
I hate when I have to stick needles the size of a nail in my arm before treatment and take them out after treatment. >:( Other then that, I'm good. 8)
-
I hated dialysis when they put me on last for the shift, then grumbled at me because I was the longest time holding sites of anyone in the unit. I had to hold 15-20 minutes per spot, and I couldn't do them both at the same time. And the 30-40 minutes was only when things were going well. Inevitably, my tech was in a hurry to get home for the evening. Not my fault they couldn't figure out a better schedule when it happened EVERY TIME!
-
I hate dialysis as it makes me cold. Here it is in summer, and I'm wearing full clothing, using a blanket, and have the seat heater turned on.
And I hate dialysis when, post-treatment, my bp is like 80 over 55 and they won't let me go fearing I'll black out. I tell them give me some saltwater after treatment, but no..........then they take my bp and I get saltwater through the needle.
-
I hate dialysis when the room isn't cold. It's over 100 outside, and then inside, where it's cold in the winter months, it's almost warm. This has been the hottest summer in Southern California I can ever remember.
-
I hate dialysis when it seems as if it is time to go again when I just feel like I am getting over the last treatment. Sometimes I feel as if I am either at dialysis or recovering from being at dialysis, so there is never really any good days sometimes.
-
last in, last off every time!'
-
I hate dialysis when the dietician comes around to show lab values in smiley faces only! >:( :stressed; :banghead; :rant;
Oh a happy or frown face explains everything! :sarcasm;
-
the paper work from the dietitian looks like I am a four year old. Just give me a doctor printout, huh?
-
I hate dialysis when I think of travelling and staying more than a weekend.
-
I hate dialysis just because.
I hate dialysis when the air con is switched on I'm freezing and they still don't switched it off and can see me shivering.
I hate dialysis when the dietican only comes around to tell you everything bad your doing and eating which is everything.
I hate dialysis because I fall asleep and can't follow anything on tv.
I hate dialysis because I can't concentrate so can't read or do a crossword.
I hate dialysis because the lovely old ladies phone beside has the loudest ringtone and gives me a heart attack everytime it rings which is alot more than mine I'm jealous nobody calls me only looking for the number of the chinese takeaway which I can't eat anyway.
I hate dialysis always have always will but otherwise everything's hunky dory and the saying goes... :rofl;

I hate dialysis when the dietican only comes around to tell you everything bad your doing and eating which is everything.
I was overhearing our dietician talking to a nearby patient about their diet recently. She would ask, for example, "Do you like (fill in the blank)?" in a positive tone. When the patient would respond "yes", she would say, "Well, you can't have that".
I hate dialysis because I fall asleep and can't follow anything on tv.
I'm the opposite. I wish I COULD fall asleep and make the time go faster!
I hate dialysis when they change my time so that I have to drive in right in the middle of lunchtime rush hour and drive home right in the middle of evening rush hour.
I hate dialysis when they try to fit me (metaphorically) into a box and treat us like all of our bodies are exactly the same...so essentially, I always hate dialysis.

I hate Dialysis when . . .
I wake up in the morning, until I fall asleep at night. And every second in between.
-
I hate dialysis when a reasonable well-educated and intelligent 63 year old is treated like an 8-year old by people far below her intellectual level. (okay, I know how it sounds, but it is demeaning)
-
the TV someone has on in the center is at that level, where you can here some words, but not all of it and it is irritating.
the dialysis machine is making a strange noise every couple of seconds and when you mention it, the tech says it is normal for that machine; and to be glad it isn't squeaking.
-
I hate dialysis when ONE guy in the room .... at 10pm .... is having a fight with his wife on his cell phone while I'm trying to sleep. AND then he hangs up on her and shuts off his phone. Then she starts calling the CENTER! Ring Ring Ring Ring.....
:stressed;
-
As a caregiver, I hate dialysis when I'm tired and want to go to bed but the boyfriend hasn't finished hooking up to the machine for the night. Especially when something goes wrong or gets contaminated and the whole process takes that much longer. PD has it's plusses but letting someone else sleep while opening the bags is not one of them.

I'm a quiet type person, but this would piss me off enough to say something or make a scene in front of him to embarrass him.
-
I hate dialysis when I finally get used to the new chair after a new weeks and was able to sleep 4 of the 8 hours that I had to hook with the machine previously then... here today are the neighboring alarms go on all night long every 20 min or so .... I could not sleep not even a wink and how I wish I had the guts to tell the tech and nurse, can I just go home and sleep in my own bed ... please?!
-
I hate dialysis when as soon as I fall asleep they then decide to check my breathing and heart and then they wake me again to ask a stupid question and wake me again to check my meds list and then they wake me again so the dietician can explain my labs again like I haven't been on dialysis for almost 3 years. Why won't they just let me sleep I get up at 4:30am for the 5:30am shift. :banghead;
-
I think I hate the cramping most! But I would like to buy a couple people headphones,which I always use ,why do some people not realize everybody else doesn't want to hear what they are listening to?
-
when the doctor wakes me up from a dead sleep to ask me if I am okay, then leaves.

Yeah really, what are we like 5 or 6?!! They think because we are on dialysis that means we are stupid :urcrazy; :urcrazy;

Its actually true. We are treated like we are a bunch of dumb_ _ _ _ _ because we are on a machine. So i annoying. I have a college degree. They dont need to put :) ;D on my montly lab reports!

When I look at my monthly food bill. Like I have complained before. Making food from scratch and all the meat is very, very expensive and time consuming. If I wasnt on dialysis it would be Mac and Cheese every night, or Hamburger Helper. A ton more cheaper then making all that crap from scratch.

I hate dialysis when it makes my friends die all over the place
-
Yes,that's one thing i never counted on ,getting close to fellow patients and then losing them,in my 2 years I've already seen 6 fellows die. I REALLY HATE THAT!
