Just scroll down to where it says "What's it like to eat on the renal diet?" by Lori K. It's under my dietician, June Martin's blog.

I enjoyed the article - and agree with you that if you tweak your attitude about food restrictions, it can actually be fun to think up new things to try or try out. I love cheese too, and have been unhappy at the thought of giving that up forever. Never having tried Brie cheese, you've now given me a new thing to check out - thanks!  :thx;

I love Brie and was so happy to find out that a small amount was renally acceptable.

I would occasionally indulge in very fine cheeses.  I never missed the usual cheeses like cheddar or Swiss, but if I found a really delicious specialty cheese, I would have a one inch sqaure of it from time to time.  That didn't seem to adversely affect my labs.  I would always think about if something was "phosphorus worthy".

Thanks, Annie and MM! So glad you enjoyed!    There's so many things one can do with Brie cheese      :)

Pre renal failure, I used to eat a lot of old cheddar. I don't anymore.
