I got a new job offer for a year, to substitute for someone who is on mat leave. Its with a completely different group/area then i work now and I'm scared. Before D i use to embrace challenges. I talked to the manager about dialysis, and how i'm on the transplant list. He seemed cool with it but I''m afraid I will let them down. I'm also afraid I'm not smart enough for the job. my bf and and co workers mentioned that I excel at everything I do, but in the last 5 years since D, I've been not taking as many chances and this i big risk and challenge for me to take, and I'm am scared. Does anyone else experience this. If so how did you over come it. I dont start for another month but I'm starting to have nightmares and stress of failing.

I don't claim to have what you have Rain, but I do know that if you give it your all and it doesn't work out, then at least know that you did your best. Try not to fear the unknown (I know that is easier said than done). If it does work out, then what was the fear about? It is what it is my dear, so don't sweat it!
What would happen if you didnt do well? Nothing, you will still be the Sweet little Rain that we Love, REGARDLESS!

Thanks.
If i don't do well nothing well happen I go back to my old job all said and done.
This fear is weird to me cause before dialysis I use to love new challenges and taking risk s, since D, I have stop taking risks and become very introverted and like things status quo.

Something like dialysis and a chronic illness is traumatic and steals from emotional resources that fuel strength and courage. But remember that D doesn't define you. I hope all goes well and that your confidence will be restored. Please let us know how things go, OK? We'll all be rooting for you.
