Somebody make it stop. I'm so tired of going, going to appts. Okay tell me what you think. Two years ago I went to the surgeon in my area and he refused to do a fistula. At that time he didn't say anything about a graft. I didn't ask because this was all new to me. Anyway he refused saying my veins are too small and I should do PD. I said no thanks and went to the next best surgeon. He tried two times but each time the fistulas did not last but one time about three months and the next one never took. So the only way I have done dialysis the past two months is with permacath. I thought I could go a long time with cath because I am very careful but I now see how that is not possible with the sloppy work done at my clinic and now I have an infection and of course they are telling me we gotta get that out and get some other access.
My question is do you think I could have a graft considering the fistulas didn't work. Does anybody have a Hero graft?
Thanks for the input.

They will probably get that cath out and put in another one someplace else. They may have to jump to your legs for a graft if your arms won't work. Lots of people have grafts in their legs. I know you don't want to hear that. :(
