Do any of you currently not urinate, get the feeling that you need to?
When I'm at the sink washing my hands, i get that feeling, so i go try to pee. But just as expected, nothing comes out but a few drops. So I assume it was the sound of the water flowing in the sink giving me the urge. What is that anway? wonder if i keep trying, it'll just start working one day?

Lasix and natto help.

My husband has been on dialysis 3 weeks and he is already urinating less...

hubby nearly 3 years and still pees.. he does take lasix, and doesnt pee full on, but just as everything else.. we're all different. He sais that no matter if he's just 'gone', and he lays down, he's still got to get up to pee again as the urge is real strong.

I sometimes have the urge to pee, and a few drops come out.
What makes this interesting is that I have no kidneys... both have been surgically removed due to cancer.

Probably conditioned to the sound of flowing water associated with urinating. Many people have this. My wife used to urinate during the middle of the night..a couple of drops or so. But now after a year of D she doesn't urinate at all, and doesn't have the urge to.

Now I'd love someone to explain that one. That is very interesting.

Is that what that is? I every once in a great while will get the felling that I have to pee and I know I don't anymore so I don't even go to the bathroom and it just passes.
-
I have no kidneys either, but still occasionally get those 'phantom urges'. Completely weird.
-
I thought i was the only one getting this. I usually get the urge in the morning of a full bladder and it's not.. It still wakes me up and it's been 5 years.
-
you are not alone. I have those urges as well. Knowing I no longer urinate, I just let it pass. Grumpy
