I've had a few dark days and with my health issues and during a dialysis evaluation when I was in center they ask you if you feel like you wanted to check out, commit suicide. Well yes of course the idea has presented itself in my mind, plus easy enough just to discontinue treatment but then you weigh the consequences too many people care about you, watching the kids grow up, graduate and marry, the things yet to accomplish, and who said life was easy anyway, and then you realize "No!"
How do you answer that question? Food for thought.

I was always honest. There were days when I wanted to stop dialysis but nothing more immediate. It passes and then I would hook up to my PD machine anyway.

I've always been afraid to be too honest. Don't want them admitting me in the psych ward. I think we all think about being gone from time to time. Then we get up the next day and go on.....

Larry, you need to ask if your HAVE to do the biopsy next year. Why mess with success. If they screw it up it is only you that has to pay. I wouldn't do it. Why do they need to do a biopsy to "see that the cells are fine"?? They can see plenty in a blood test.
Just my :twocents;

there are many times when I want to check out!! However my religious beliefs prevent me from committing suicide. so I cry, vent, complain, and be depressed for a little bit, and then I move on.
