Title: woodsman update
Post by: woodsman on April 03, 2012, 02:45:27 AM
Hello to you all, Its been sometime since i have posted and i thought I'd update. Well dialysis continues to be a nightmare, one time they get it the next 5 times i get poked 4-7 times, had another 2 infiltrations and another vein clean out last week, I just wonder at times if it is all worth the pain and frustration. I try to make the best of it but every time  it seems to get better then it all goes  wrong. Now i have a rash around my fistula and whats its from is beyond me.. BP is so low when i leave i am ill sometimes 79/47 sometimes a bit higher.. I need encouragement but mostly i need a kidney///// :Kit n Stik;

Dang me, it sounds like you have it rough.  I have a little story for you.  A clueless nurse, nice guy, but he's clueless, missed my vein yesterday, as usual.  Well, another nurse, a black lady, big, nice, and smart, came over and asked what the big deal was    Later, she came over to help me get off.   Clueless didn't want to leave for some reason, so she pushed him away.  I love this nurse!  LOL.

It kind of goes in cycles for me too.  How long have you been waiting on the list??

Hang in there.  You can refuse the idiot and ask for the smart one.  Remember, you are paying them not the other way around.

Hang in there.     :pray;

 :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

Woodsman, are you actively pursuing a transplant? You may want to follow in Larry Green's footsteps and look on Craig's List. And FaceBook. Our transplant center had a class on how to raise your chances of getting a live donor. There are many options out there.

I hope you can take advantage of them and improve your wait time.  :cuddle;

Is it at all possible to try a different clinic?
I was going to a davita, and had tons of issues with it, cramping, infultrations almost every treatment, etc, and i ended up going to another clinic and i rarely have problems!

Oh Woodsman....it's good to hear from you but I'm sorry things are not going better.  Perhaps a talk with the charge nurse would help.  At least to get Clueless away from you.  I'll be keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed that you get a kidney soon.  :grouphug;

Hey there, stranger!!  Why couldn't you return to IHD with better news?  I can't believe your clinic isn't getting any better sticking you.  You've had problems with them forEVER. ::)

How are you feeling physically?  I know dialysis is a nightmare, but are you feeling any benefits at all?

Hi everyone i just stopped in to say that my last 10 treatments have gone without a hitch, even placing the needles don't hurts anymore. I am only gaining 900 gms at each session so things are looking up. finally... :bandance;

Riverwhispering,  You have a dirty mind!  I like that.  By "getting me off" I meant she helped me get off my needles, apply bandages, etc.   What did you have in mind?  >:D >:D >:D >:D

Oh, that's great news!  How are you feeling these days, woodsman?  Do you feel pretty good, or is dialysis really difficult to cope with physically?

Hi Woodsman, it is great to see you again.   Glad the past few sessions have been better.  Hopefully it continues for awhile.  And hopefully, the kidney will come through soon.   Glad you posted.   :2thumbsup;
