Yes, I'm still on it although I have refused to take it. Today I met with my v surgeon who won't change it said leave it up to the neph, because my access has been open and running better, and if I can tolerate the chest tightness which I can't to keep taking it, neph says plavix is no benifit to me and doesn't believe I'm having chest tightness. I don't know what to do now, I want off this drug, I don't like the chest tightness. Is there anything else I can do besides being non compliant with this drug? Anyone besides these two doctors that I can talk to about this problem?

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a problem with dipyridamole. I remember telling you about my own, good experience with that medicine. Tightness in your chest is not a symptom you ought to have to 'tolerate'. If it were me, I'd see a cardiologist. Let him be the one to prescribe a different drug, since the nephrologist won't. All the best to you, sullidog.
