Title: Dialysis and Popcorn
Post by: kellyt on March 11, 2012, 09:11:55 AM
Can the dialysisi patient eat popcorn?  Healthy popcorn, not salt and/or butter saturated.  Thanks.

I don't know why not. I eat it. You would worry about salt but if you make it yourself you can control that.

P.S. It seems you posted this in transplant but I'm sure a helpful moderator will move it.

We eat popcorn all the time, but hubby doesnt drink much after eating it.  Plus, we do not add alot of salt or butter, so that could be the reason!

Blokey used to eat popcorn at the cinema when he was on haemoD.  Oddly (now he's not on haemoD), he doesn't eat it anymore.

Gosh, sorry it took me so long to get back to my post!  lol    And, sorry for posting in transplant.  I didn't even realize it.  I'm just used to going straight to that board.  :D  Thanks!

Anyway, good to know popcorn is okay.  Thanks everyone!

I eat kettle corn far too often. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
