Well, I am flying to visit my husband who is in the military. I live in Michigan and he lives in Tennessee. I usually dont have too much of a problem with the cycler on the air plane but this time I did.
The plane only hold 50 passengers. the cycler is too big to go under the seat. My normal carry on luggage that goes over head is too big to on the over head. So they made me put both my overhead luggage and my cycler under the plane. They said there were no closests to put it. I even had a doctors letter, i explained what it was. They knew about it a head of time It was even on my ticket.
Just dontknow what to do.

Lillupie, you do what you have to do. As long as they are aware of what they are playing with when you gate check it, you should be ok.

Maybe you need to explain that it is a piece of medical equipment that is worth thousands of dollars and that if broken, the cost of it has to be reimbused in full (this is a requirement of the Americans with Diabilities Act. That may make them stop and think. Also do not stop with the person who is telling you this, escalate it upwards and insist on speaking to a supervisor.

I agree with Amanda. It is a life support system and you can not have it bashed about.
