Anyone here on plavix? I was just wondering if any of you had side affects, I was looking at them and they don't sound too plesant.
-
Cant remember the side affects that could possibly happen that they list. But J been on Plavix since 2008 without any problems. His blood flows thinly, which is its intentions. Knock on wood, he has not any side affects. I know they list some when you get it, but just about anything can cause side affects. If you experience any of the side affects, just do what it says to do if you have one!
Have you gotten the prescription yet? I know that there was a few times he would forget to take one, and I got to tell you, I knew it the minute I would hook him up! His blood would be thicker than normal. He would tell me he forgot to take a plavix. It really made a difference in his blood, Sully. I hope it helps you like it has him!!!!! You might still have some clotting issues, but you will see a visable difference in your blood!
Wishing you luck and let us know how it is working!

Take those lists with a grain of salt. They have to list so many things as possibilities and you won't get most of them. Ask your doctor or pharmacist what the important ones are or what means you're having a bad reaction and ignore the rest.

I don't know.... but if it lasts more than 4 hours you'd better see your doctor.

Nope not yet, have to have the thrombolisis on my graft first, dr. doesn't want me to start it til after that.

Plavix and a baby aspirin and you will bruise if a good strong wind hits you. Otherwise, none at all.

That is so right. I had forgotten that they don't want you to take Plavix before any procedures, especially surgeries, cause they want blood to be its normal consistency. Blood thinners like Plavix will thin it like water. They don't want to cut you and blood shot out faster with blood thinner. That would not be cool.
I had forgotten that Sully. It has been since Feb 2010 that my husband had a procedure. That will soon be 2yrs! Lord the time does fly!! But your docs are right, you do not want to take Plavix before the procedure. You got good advise there!

I found this on the website pertaining to PLAVIX. I saw an ad on TV about how PLAVIX is causing all sorts of issues. I am on Plavix and it works good for me. I have none of these issues but apparently, there are a lot of people having issues with it.

Are you a Plavix user who has suffered from cerebral bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, or from other internal hemorrhaging, such as bleeding ulcers? Plavix, the popular blood thinner drug could be to blame. Recent studies indicate that Plavix patients are more likely to experience gastrointestinal bleeding and other bleeding than what was previously thought. Our Plavix lawyers want to hear from anyone who suffered from this drug side effect.
