I've been really bad and have not resumed my workout schedule since I had my cath placed in July  :thumbdown; But things are settling down to where I think I can get started again. My neph told me cardio was fine, and that is what I usually did. I'd check with them before I started anything big in the resistance area. I was on a 10lb weight limitation for 6 weeks post surgery, so you will need to factor that in.

Good luck!

I don't do much about PD since I do in-center hemo.....You do exceptionally well for having the energy to work out for that long per day! That's awesome!     :thumbup;     :2thumbsup;

I would be extremely careful doing any heavy weight training while on PD.  Cardio is fine, but weight training either do very light weight and high reps or none at all.

Once your abdomen is filled with fluid, if you do heavy weight training it puts a tremendous amount of stress on the peritoneal membrane.  I've had 2 hernias thanks to more than average weight training.  If you just got the pd cath in there, I'd be careful on the weight training, so it may add stress around the area.  Cardio is fine but i'd take it easy for abit.
