I dropped my husband off at the dialysis center for his treatment. A few minutes after I arrived home, I received a phone call. He had been feeling light headed like he was going to pass out. His blood pressure and pulse was very low. Blood pressure was 80 something over 39 and pulse was 40 something. The nurse called the doctor. The doc said to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He will probably be dialized here at the hospital. I wonder if his blood pressure medicine needs to be adjusted. I will update later. They are checking his blood work and they did an EKG. :(

Oh no...how frightening. I hope the solution will be something as simple as readjustment of his meds. Please do keep us updated. I hope he will be OK. :pray;

So scary and I hope all is better already. My hubby was taken off heart mess and pressures good now. Hope same for yours. Prayers for you both. And comfort hugs

I was told NOT to take my BP meds the morning before dialysis. I hope he is okay. Very scary.

That was our shortest trip to the ER, ever! :thumbup; We were only there for about two hours. His pulse and blood pressure went up to a more normal rate. They didn't do dialysis in the ER. He will need to call the dialysis center Monday morning to see if they can fit him in. Kind of strange that they are having him skip a treatment. The ER doc told my husband to stop taking his blood pressure meds and follow up with his dialysis center. I am happy that he is home and feeling much better. :laugh:

So glad to hear everything worked out and two hours to boot. My hubby's last visit to the ER, they took 3 days to diagnose a muscle sprain in his chest.

Glad everythings ok!
It amazes me how some of these healthcare workers don't take dialysis seriously as we the patient do, I went 5 days without dialysis last week cause I didn't have an access, I think urination saved me!
