Qigong is an exercise done by millions that's over a 1,000 years old. One of them is for the kidneys.
Curl the first two fingers of each hand. Reach around your back, near the bottom of your spine, out to the left or right a few inches. Lightly tap for two minutes.

Won't do anything for any of my kidneys.. either the 2 in the back or the 2 in the front.. *LOL*

Are we tapping in the region of the kidneys? I am willing to give anything a go!

Feel like a contortionist. Lol

Qigong is a wonderful thing! While you are doing these things, allow your mind to completely empty, and focus your attention on a point deep in behind your belly button (called your lower dan tien) Relax completely. Stand with your feet about 1-2 feet apart (depending how tall you are) bend your knees a little and keep your back strait (don't stick your butt out) let your shoulders hang with complete relaxation.
other kidney exercises: pat the base of your spine (your tailbone) for about 5 minutes (it's actually a long time!) That's also good for sex problems! Also for kidney: gently cup your hands and reach around and pat the actual kidney area. If you can't raise your hands that high along your back, just pat as high as you can to the kidneys. Also massage the area.
And be a good person. Open your heart and forgive everybody and everything. Know that you are loved.

Gaiam makes 3 DVD's, each with a full gentle workout. It's the easy and inexpensive way to get into Qigong. The exercises are amazing. They make you feel connected to the Earth and the Sky. I got my DVD's on Amazon.

Cool. I can recommend Spring Forest Qigong (is it OK to do that here?)
