Title: Heard a rumor
Post by: plugger on October 30, 2011, 08:28:01 AM
Heard a rumor that some of these clinics are sending their patients to their primary physicians to get diagnosed for things like MRSA and staph.

Why would they do this?  It couldn't be that if the neph does the diagnosis, the clinic would have to admit they have had an outbreak of the above?

If you too have heard this rumor, contact us (http://www.dialysisethics2.org/index.php/Contact-Us/Contacts/).

My Neph made me get a GP years ago because he didn't have time to see me for the flu or strep throat etc....

I had a staph infection over the summer.  My personal neph was the one who admitted me from the ER, but he was not the neph who was seeing me at my center.  Wonder if because the nephs at the center were not invoved in the dx, would the clinic not be dinged?  Good question!   ???

My Neph suggests that we get a primary care but if he knows what it is then he will diognose it.

I had my GP long before I knew what a neph was!

Just thought I would mention it.  I think the vast majority of times getting sent to a primary physician doesn't mean anything underhanded is going on - but apparently we ran into a clinic in California that seems to be an exception to the rule.  Guess we have to wonder how prevalent that sort of thing is.
