sebse choc is not in the diet
but yet we can have choc protien bars
what is the differnce with suger free hot coco
one of the techs gave my son
one not to long ago
and my mom and sister flip out
and i had mention it to the techs mom
for mother and daughter work together
and she didnt know that was given to him
but nothing seem to be a issue with that

It might not be chocolate, but maybe something made to look and taste like it.
A good nutritionist familiar with kidney disease can tell you which protein bars are OK for patients.

Depends on the ingredients used and how that chocolate is. Is it artificial chocolate or a differently modified source of chocolate from the actual cacao bean. Hard to say with out a list of ingredients because not all sugar free products are made the same. Back in the late 70's sugar free chocolate bars for diabetics did not use real chocolate, it was artificial chocolate.

Fabulous Hot Cocoa
Diet types:
* CKD non-dialysis
* Dialysis
* Diabetes
Recipe submitted by DaVita dietitian Lynn from Maryland.
Portions: 1 Serving size: 1 cups
Ingredients
* 1 cup very hot water
* 1 tablespoon Hershey’s® natural unsweetened cocoa
* 2 teaspoons Splenda®
* 2 tablespoons cold water
* 3 tablespoons Cool Whip®
Preparation
1. Heat 1-cup water.
2. While water heats, mix cocoa powder and Splenda® in a cup.
3. Add cold water and mix to form a thin paste.
4. Add hot water to cup. Stir to dissolve paste.
5. Top with Cool Whip®.
