Maybe we should be asking if it was worth it!

they said that i had gastroenteritis
also known to be a stomach flu
but i dont know

i went to dialyis today and they gave me tylenol

so i went to the store when i got home and bought a off brand of tylenol
my doc called on something else
and i told him what was going on
and he said call tomorrow and i might be able to get in to see him
i guess this dang thing i have can last 3-8days
but the pain is not fun at all
they gave me
a nausia pill
and that liquid junk chalk taste when your potassium is high

i love choc and we all know that has potassium
i guess i have to stay away from that for awhile
or just buy the sugerfree choc candies

I hate that chalky stuff for Potassium, kayexelate (poly sorbitol ssomething). The pharmacy flavored it once and it made it worse!
Hope you do not have to take anymore doses for a long long time!

i had it the first time in may
when i was in the hospitol
do to pneumia(mistake spelling)
and other issue i had
that work in matter of sec
this time when i took it
i took it at home
and i decided to sit on the toilet for awhile
but geeze it didnt take effect like it did before
so i got up
took a nap for 2hours
and my mom called me so i wouldnt sleep any longer than i wanted
i got up and went to use the bathroom and oh yea it took effect
which was good
my weight intake for dialyis was in good order

my husband has almost lost his life due to high potassium. First, his body went inot total muscle paralysis, then he collapses on the floor because his potassium sends signals to the muscles ( which is the heart!) to work properly. His heart went out of control. One time K 8.1 Second time he "coded" as I am told by the doctors when they wouldn't let me in there with him, was 9.2. Please be very, very careful about potassium issues.
-
OUCH!!!!!!
that is high
how is he doing now
mine was 5.8

Potassium is not something to screw around with, that's for sure.. same goes for phosphorus. both can affect your heart, and if it should go, you're pretty much done for
