Title: dark blood
Post by: sullidog on July 18, 2011, 06:55:23 PM
The blood in my graft is very dark, it still works fine though and has a great thrill, I just had a fistulagram and he said everything was fine but did fix a mild stenosis but didn't seem concerned about the dark blood. I'm just curious why the blood might be so dark? Anyone else experienced this? It seems to be the darkest where they did the fistulagram.

As long as it was running along smoothly, you're blood is full of hemoglobins! And that is a good thing.    Differently now with this issue, but say you had a nose bleed and you had blood come out. In that kind of situation bright red blood means it is "fresh". Darker blood from something like that  would mean it had been sitting (somewhere) for a while. I wouldn't worry that dark blood went through yourlines
