This is kind of two posts in one.
My graft is doing a weird thing, my blood flow is suppose to be at 450 which is where my doctor wants it, but I don't care, well anyways when we first start off treatment it will only run at 400 if we crank it to 450 the pressures colaps, but here's the weird thing, after I'm on treatment for a while we'll try 450 again and it will run just fine, anyone ever had this happen? I had a fistulagram last week and there was a mild stenosis which was fixed before that I was still getting 350 which is still good to me. I don't understand why my doctor demands my pressures be at 450 even when I was getting 350 my urr was 78 percent and my KT over V was 1.6, but he is picky like that, my graft has had so much work maybe that's why it's only running at 400 which is fine to me, any advice on how to convince my doc that 400 is still a good blood flow rate to me?

i have a weird issue with my when i first start it shows my pressures as being really high, but they go down a few minutes after being on ...
i think i run at 450 as well but i thik i do better at 400. its impossible to get my dr to listen, so i dont know what to tell u. perhaps tell him its ur choice to do this, so he should try it for a while at that rate and see how ur tests look...

Is it blood pump speed you are talking about? 450 seems high to me, I run on 300. Should it not be adjusted according to what you and your graft can handle...the fact that stenosis is being mentioned might indicate the vein can't handle the volume you are trying to put through.

I agree with Bruno. 450 sounds high to me. I run between 350 and 400. If we go over 400, my hand goes to sleep. My doctor lets the nurses and the patients figure these things out, instead of demanding how it should be. I think your doctor needs to have the stick removed from his ass
