I have been asked  by ESRD Network 13 to write a story about my life as a needle phobic on dialysis and what I have tried to do to over come this fear it will appear in the next issue of Kidney Koncerns . It is really hard for me to write about my fear because even thinking about needles freaks me out. Who knows it could help somebody with this fear out.

You are not the only one who has this fear of needles.  If you could share some of the coping mechanisms you've been able to create for yourself, you would be helping so many people!  Good for you!  I'm really proud of you!  You have come such a long way; you should feel really pleased with yourself.

That is very courageous of you to write about your fears and experiences !

Often people/patients feel isolated and alone dealing with their difficult situation
and it often gives them strengths to know that there other people/patients
who share similar difficulties and fears and this communication is very important.
