I'm writing this in hospital. I had a heart attack on Monday.
For me, Renagel has the side effect of generating gas. Normally this is of no consequence; I quite like a fart. However on a ward with 5 other blokes I constrained myself. I fell asleep but woke myself up at 2am in the middle of a fart. I stopped, thought it as well that the ward was asleep and took off for the bog, where I finished degassing.
To my horror, I found later that all 5 had been woken by my stentorian fart and amazed by its duration. They had not missed the visit to the bog either. They thought I might have "followed through".
:oops;

God Stoday!!!!! Talk about laff and cry! That's a pretty funny worrying post. What do you mean about having a heart attack? Gosh darn I hope you're alright and out of the "butcher shop" (hospital) soon. :cuddle; Fret! :pray;

First, I was amazed at the sang-froid with which you said "I had a heart attack on Monday".
Then I was bowed to the ground laughing at your fart escapade!!!!
How are you doing now? Give us the details.
[Any more good toots?? :rofl;]

Stoday, heart attack! I hope you are doing OK. Did they sort you out with stents or what. You made me howl about the renagel, they do make you gassy, or fart as you rightly put it. I am gassy and don't take them. Its age, that's my excuse but hubby takes them and some nights in bed it is like a fine tuned orchestra. Hope you get better soon, and you take it easy.

The thread title and the first line of this post nearly made ME poo myself with worry for Blokey!
*le sigh*
I am so sorry about the heart attack and the hospital stay (I hope they're looking after you; it isn't long since they were named and shamed for not looking after the Oldies, is it? Not that I'm saying you're an Oldie, obviously *smiles sweetly* ... ) BUT I am so pleased that you've retained your sense of humour!
Take care of yourself and keep farting! (Gives you all something to talk about in between doctor's rounds, eh?)
;D

:cuddle;
Get better and get out of there soon!
And who decided that hospital wards were a good idea, anyhow? Can you get voted off the ward by the other patients? ;D

I'm speechless.
:o re heart attack
:rofl; re everything else.

You're a bloody worry, you old coot! Get out of hospital and fart at home!

Hello, Stoday,
Sorry to hear about what happened to you.
You seem to have great strength
to get through these set-backs,
and I wish you all the very best
for another speedy recovery,
Kristina.

Yep that's what renagel does to me to, that's why I'm switching to renvella

Oh boy! I have had a few farts like that. We have had a few people who fart at dialysis. One of the guys bring a fart toy to dialysis.

Thanks all for your kind words. They mean a lot to me here in Ipswich hospital.
They will decide if I should be sent to Papworth for stent/bypass tomorrow. Papworth is one of the UK's top heart hospitals.
-
Good luck tomorrow, Stoday, and speedy recovery !
Best wishes from Kristina.

After reading the first few sentences, I thought you were gonna tell us that you "farted" yourself into a heart-attack somehow. But later realized that you had 2 non-related issues going on here. Get better soon.
