Post by: dialysisinsider on March 01, 2011, 02:39:37 PM
Hi All,

I've been asked by many about the dialysis industry. Hopefully this short video will help answer some of those questions. Please feel free to add comments and add more questions. Hopefully these are helpful; if they are, I will make more.

That is a strange blog and I have seen a lot of CKD blogs in my day. Where are you getting your content? Why are you posting it?

I was wondering Terry, if you're working now and why you left the dialysis industry.

Hi Dinsider.  Being an insider, what do you think is the most egregious practice you have seen and is it worth being a whistle blower on such practice as Dr. Bander did in 2001 against Gambro which effectively made Gambro retreated from the US dialysis clinic business?

For example: " Whistle-blowing nephrologist gets award from the FBI.
St. Louis Today: Bander filed a whistle-blower lawsuit against Gambro Healthcare in 2001  (http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/article_a99c4241-b2cd-5faf-ae2b-8d5970dc88d8.html)that resulted in a $350.5 million civil settlement in 2004. Federal law allows whistle-blowers to collect as much as 25 percent. Bander received $56 million for his efforts"
