10 to 13 hours a day here. Seems like I'm always sleeping. You?
-
4, on a good day/night.
-
On workdays, I sleep the standard 8 hours. When left to my devices, I'd probably be better with 9 or 10.
-
I could probably use 10, but between work, kids, animals and a house to take care of, I push myself through the eye-burning tiredness I feel several days a week. A good night of sleep would be 6 hours, but even that is interrupted by having to get up every couple of hours to use the bathroom.

i'm lucky if i get 4. it doesn't matter if i nap during the day or not. so when i'm tired, i nap!

Are all of you on Hemo, PD, or post transplant? I'm starting to worry that maybe there is something else wrong with me - sleeping so much!

I go to bed at 11 pm. On a morning that I have dialysis, I get up at the buttcrack of dawn at 6 am to be into dialysis by 7 am in the morning. On a non-dailysis day, I sleep in until 7:30 am. I would say on average I get about 6 hrs.

i do in center hemo. since i dont work right now i have been sleeping my life away! go to bed at 10pm wake up at 3am....stay up until 7am start to fall back asleep until 2 or 3pm in the afternoon....i was just thinking that maybe something else was wrong with me too. I never sleep at dialysis though....i thinking working and staying active does help with not sleeping so much...that's why i applied for a part time job....I don't want to sleep my life away!!!

During the day I will doze off, but get no more than 2 or 3 hours sleep. At night
I can feel lucky if I manage 1/2 hours of sleep. Have tried all the popular sleeping pills
with no luck (except for ambien which works 3 to 4 hours, but leaves me with a hangover
the rest of the day). Will have to give self-hypnosis a shot.

UGH! When I was on PD I was lucky to get 4 solid hours of sleep. Sleep has always been my hobby. ;D No sleep was murder.
Now I am back on some serious glorious sleep.
-
On non-dialysis days around 7 per night, unless I also take a nap. On dialysis days, maybe a couple of hours in the chair, a nap when I get home, and also the 7 at night.
-
On in-center D - 12 to 14 wasn't unusual. Anything less than 10 meant I was going to be violently ill at some point during the day.
Now I'm on immuno drugs from the transplant, and the insomnia has taken over instead. That leads to some really strange sleep schedules - 4 one night, 12 the next when I don't have to get up!
-
in center hemo it varies greatly. 9 hours is goal but 6 is more normal. Thursday I got less than 3 hours. I went to dialysis where I can't sleep in D so when I got home I got a good nights sleep. I frequently cannot sleep in bed but I have a nice chair that works for me.

between 7-8, ambien helps me out sometimes
