Title: deer meat?

does anyone have any information on whether or not this is a good food for patients?

Actually, it's a good choice if you love red meat, since it's much lower in fat than beef.  If it's the processing/sanitary part you are worried about, I'd put my money on the safety of the little local butcher's shop over the big companies' processing centers any day.

Greg, you make venison sound unappetizing. I eat venison over beef every time.
