You mean you got one of those little rubber mats that can do it all?  I had an insurance lady give me one of those recently.

That's one more reason I am glad I am at home now with NxStage, I don't have to get pissed every Christmas when Davita gives us this piss poor excuse for a gift.

You guys ever read my rant about my Davita Christmas present?

Joe got a small bag of candy from his center.  I guess the thought is nice, but come on, probably 75% of the people there are diabetics!   >:(

We had a catered Christmas party --Chicken, Beef , Rigatoni, Salad, Cottage cheese, Rolls, Cole Slaw, Cake, Cookies, Coffee, and punch. They had Frosty come pass out coloring books and crayons to our kids. And the Doctors gave every patient a poinsettia. It was pretty nice. Then when I went to dialysis the one day my dietitian gave me a bag of Clinique make up. It was VERY nice. I go to a private center and they are Awesome with us patients, they are very caring and always get me on on time, or on early. I feel bad for all of you that don't have private clinics.

I thought you were gonna say a roll of duct tape (which, by the way, would be a GREAT gift!)
Jenna got no gift, but we brought a big basket of goodies for the staff.

this being my first Christmas on dialysis getting a pen from my clinic for Christmas set the bar for next year. All I can do is hold on till next Christmas so I can see if that will be topped. The things we look forward too......

If they offer a gift, that's fine.  But why should we expect a gift in the first place?  And then when we receive their gift, we're not satisfied.    :-\

I think I would rather have no gift at all than a crappy, thoughtless, piece of crap!

Agree. I´m not ungrateful, I just think that they should think better when sending a piece of promo as a present....promo is a thing and a present is another.... :-X

Come on!  They charge 30 to 40 thousand big ones a month and we get a bag of "chocolate" candy??  I was not at DaVita this Christmas as I was visiting.  But at the unit I was visiting we got a bag of candy that probably isn't on my renal diet.

EXACTLY "SWAG" (Stuff We All Get) is not a gift, it is just FREE advertising for them. I mean why else PLASTER their NAME (Davita) all over the products they give as Christmas presents?

RAI gave us neck pillows just after New Years this year.  They have their name on it.  Whoopee!

My dialysis center gave out neck pillows to it's HEMO patients, however us PD patients at my center got nothing. I'm not complaining, I didn't expect anything, I just found it odd they would give everyone on hemo something but PD nothing... like were not on dialysis or something either.  :thumbdown;

My husband came home with a pair of gigantic mittens, dark blue, thin flannel or maybe fleece with a thumb big enough to put your whole hand in & one mitten was big enough for both hands. Davita was embroidered on the cuff.

All I could think of was where do they get this stuff & if they have to put their name on it then why not just a nice ball point pen that you could at least use.

Rerun, I'm with you. With all the money they make they could do better.

They can do better but then they would have to drive chevy and ford products instead of BMWs and Porches.
