Holy Cow! these last two days have been a on an emotional roller coaster! My doctor finally said it is time to get a access put in. OK no problem can handle that, but I did not want to do PD. But I understand why he wanted me to start with that because we can use that sooner. But there is a bonus, i get a fistula at the same time!!! wooooo hooooo! So after my fistula is healed and then I can use that instead. then it is back to swimming. I can not wait to start feeling better!!!! I am so tired and my body is stiff and sore. in the last two days i have slept at lest 14 hours each day. I sleep at night too. i kind of don't mind the sleeping because it is a wonderful thing but i am wasting the day i could be doing something productive, that is the only thing that bugs me. the one thing that worries me about all this is: I am going to have a somewhat more normal life or is it going to be crappy like this for the rest of it? I read other peoples post and have high hopes! so on December 16th i will be getting my pd Catheter and my fistula done in Reno NV!!!!!! will update when I am able to!!!!!!!!!!! Later daze, Jolene :bandance; :yahoo; :clap; :clap;

jmhoxsie1979, speaking for myself, I feel better than I have felt in YEARS. I don't necessarily wish I'd started sooner, but now that I have I'm glad of it.

Well i am glad you will be starting D soon. (cant get use to saying that) But i am sure you will feel much better shortly after starting. At least it helps the majority of us.
Like your dune buggy :thumbup; I have a 73 Baja that i take to alot of aircooled shows. Fun to do and gets my mind of everything else if not at least for a few hours.
I hope all goes well...

Consider it an investment that pays off in the future when you feel so much better.
I didn't realise how ill I had been for the previous two years until I started the big D.
