As GFR is calculated from Creatinine levels would doing hard exercise before
lab tests cause an increase in GFR ( as Creatinine is a waste product of muscle
activity) ???
-
Yes. I did that a couple years ago to help convince my neph that I should start dialysis. :rofl;
I also ate more protein than usual the night before, which can raise BUN.

restorer..

Much better to start early than late. I started late, had a month feeling totally wretched, followed by 8 days in hospital. What a relief whan I was dialysed at the end of my sojourn in hospital.

I was tired of pre-dialysis issues - a limit on potassium, and with my phosphorus constantly high, I had problems with joint pain and so much itching. I was ready to go on PD. It's a good thing I did it, too, because my first catheter didn't work, and I got terribly uremic and ended up in the hospital before they could replace it.

yeah, in theory the GFR would probably go down a little bit due to more wastes in the blood from exercise. It wouldn't be by much though unless you're running marathons every day I reckon.

That makes sense, i went on "earlier" than normal, because i was having bad nausea and tired all the time.

One of my doctor's concerns was starting me too early or too late. He kept a watchful eye on me during 2008.
