What more can I possibly have to deal with? I was working on getting my medicare for a year with no luck. This is the medicare that federal law guarantees us. I finally contacted my congressman and just a few days later received my card in the mail. Less than a month later I get a notice that my part B that pays for dialysis was cancelled and I could not reapply until January.
That is a death sentence for me.
I contacted my congressman again and he had no luck. I found a number for Center for Disability Law in my home town (non profit) and have called them. Waiting!

No problems like that for us (thank God) - dialysis is available to everybody through MCP.

Otto just got his and I had 2 :boxing; to get it thanks to our Davita social worker. We ended up cancelling part A in order to get part B, since part A never had paid anything that's the only reason we got to do this. Our new Social worker (not Davita thank god) also did all the paper worker for AKF to pay for it. Keep fighting it can be done trust me

I cant believe what you guys have to go through ! I hope it works out for you .

I can't believe it either and I worry about it. What happens to the people without insurance or medicare? Fret.
Hope you have the tenacity to get some arrangement happening like the one suggested by Lola, or via this Center for Disability Law...

Just what you need hey, another fight on your hands...

Sounds like it's time for an atorney.

Hi Bub, What was the reason they cancelled your medicare part B.
-
I can't believe what you have to go through either. The NHS might not be perfect but I'm so grateful we don't have to jump over hoops and fight for the treatment we deserve.
I really hope you get it sorted Bub, without too much of a fight. Tsk.

That's really terrible.
This past week, Obama unveiled the new health reform website, healthreform.gov
http://healthreform.gov/
Maybe there's some contact there that can help you.
Is a social worker working with you on this?
