Title: barbeque recipes
Post by: marcy996 on May 31, 2010, 06:58:21 PM
Summer is upon us and so is barbeque season. So many of my recipes contain mayo or tomatoes and I am looking for barbeque recipes that my son will eat, but more importantly, will be renal friendly for me. They also have to be tasty enough to serve guests.
I can leech my potatoes and cut down on mayo in the potato salad and add carrots for more interest. But what about marinades and other recipes that you may have used?
Thanks for your input.

My favorite chicken marinade

Fresh ginger (chopped or thinly sliced) 1/4 cup

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup white wine

place chicken in sause in plastic bag & marinade at least 4 hours, overnight is best.

and thanks Dianejt
I have already been to davita checking recipes. Everytime I look at a recipe I wonder who really eats those things? I prefer items that I would normally have on hand in the fridge and it is especially hard with a pre-teen food critic. I appreciate any and all ideas.

Thanks
