I was just wondering if any fellow dialysis patients are suffering from cysts? I currently have a sty on my eyelid which I had the doc lance the other day. Unfortunately it didn't come down any, it's still pretty swollen. I was just wondering how to deal with these things?

I had a cyst about 20 years ago on (ahem) a delicate part of my anatomy. It was getting to be a real nuisance so I went to my GP expecting him to lance it.
No such luck. I was referred to a surgeon to have it excised. The surgeon examined me told me what he proposed to do and then said there was a risk that he might have to do a complete circumcision. I nearly sh*t myself. Anyway, I went ahead and everything went OK. I'm still persona intacta. Phew!

Cysts generally speaking, come from infected hair foliciles or skin trauma. In my opinon I don't think it it has to do with ESRD per say. If you are still having problems with swelling in the eye area of course let the Dr. know. Asaid from the cysts removal there may be a possibilty of an eye infection. I hope you feel better soon and your eyes get back to being all pretty again.
