I used one when I did PD. It took a little getting used to but not bad.

I'm sorry, but as a HD person, I have no idea and am unable to help. However, we do have lots of PD people here who I know will be able to give a sensible response.

When I first started PD I wore a belt that someone specifically made for our clinic. Now I just tuck it into my pants. I've never taped it down.

I use Stickman Inds. belts. They are pretty comfortable and easy to use. I really believe that help prevent exit sight infections (my opinion). When i was on PD 17+years ago I always use to tape my cath and I had major trouble with exit sight infections all the time. Using the belths I have never had an exit sight infection....so far knock on wood. My cath is nicely supported.

My husband also uses a Stickman, he has two, a light weight one which he is not too keen on and a cotton one which he loves. They wash and dry over night which is good. I live in the UK and had to send to America for it.

I also tried the belt but didn't like it. I'm afraid the belt didn't sit well on my fat tummy. These days, I make two cuts on each side of a cutiplast (band aid) , reverse and it creates a pocket for the end.

My husband does use a stickman belt but we are having a little heat wave in the UK at the moment and he likes sitting with just shorts on so I have been busy making him "shall we call them cumber belts" I have got my old tee shirts from last year and cut the bottoms off to about 12inch and machined them, they are stretchy cotton and go easily over his belt and stomach, he loves them. We have got red, blue, white, (that looks like a huge bandage) and orange. Try it.
