Hey all, I feel like ranting. I just got out of the hospital a few days ago. I've been treated for peritonitis. Shortly after I developed a weird rash. It spread all over my body. When I went to the hospital, they said I was septic. I was vomiting, fever, rash all over my body (hives), and a uti to top it all off. They think I am either allergic to the vancomycin i've been treated with or worst case scenario...I've developed an allergy to the dialysate. If it is the latter, I would have to change to hemo. Going to the neph on mon to get my vanco levels tested. I'm seriously bummed out. I try to keep a positive attitude but it is hard when you feel like you can never catch a break. I hate having kidney failure. I miss my old life. Thanks for listening.

Thinking of you and hoping for better days ahead, vivisfab. It really can get to seem as though there's always something...not a fun roller coaster. :grouphug;

Kidney disease is a bummer!!! I'ts rotten and it's not fair. All we can do is battle on and share our feelings with our friends on IHD. We understand and we care. :boxing;
