I understand that regular Medicare pays for certain drugs for dialysis patients. I am not talking about Part D.....I heard tale that regular pays for something. Have not had opportunity to call them and now that I have a job ( :clap; ) it is difficult to call during the day.

Also you can still call Medicare at night, just have to go through the phone tree to get a real person. Also request the bookd Medicare and You, and there is a book on Medicare and dialysis/transplant, but can't remember full title.

Not sure if they are sending out printed versions anymore. Last I heard it was going to be available online only in a pdf.
Anyway, here is the link to the pdf copy of dialysis and transplantation.

I got mine once again this year and since my dad met retirement age, he got one also.
It seemed to be easier to find and download all the manuals a couple years ago because it was in one place, because there was also an option to either order a printed copy, on tape, braille, large print, or the option to download.
