I'm stage 4 and have been getting sick to my stomach. Since Jan. I have vomited :puke; about 7 times. I have not vomited 7 times in my life before Jan. I have also been dry heaving quite often. Is this normal or am I just starting to get worse. My labs are staying steady at 17%. My weight is starting to drop also. I was 185 last year now i'm around 165-170.

Make sure you tell your nephrologist about this.
Are you on any new medications? Anything different going on other than the fact you are at 17% GFR?
This aside, I will tell you that I feel nauseous every day at 15% GFR and did at 17% also, though I manage to not actually vomit most of the time.
I try to eat smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 large meals, and that seems to help. I've recently started taking Prilosec to ease stomach sickness.I also eat a low protein diet and drink plenty of water. And NO, it's not normal to vomit and have dry heaves, but it is the nature of ESRD for some of us. I hope you can get a handle on it soon, because I'm sure it's very hard for you.

Sounds like maybe toxin buildup? What are your lab values? Anything out of wack?

Definetely discuss with the neph. Something isn't right. You can't just go on a number like the eGFR or creat and think you're "OK" when you're clearly not. Now it may just be a side effect of something that can be controlled with meds, or it could be something more serious - I'd absolutely be telling them about your symptoms - the losing weight thing too could be a key - your albumin is probably a bit low - have you lost a lot of appetitie? This can lead to stuff like low protein levels, low iron and hemoglobin, which could in turn be causing you issues.
