I started snacking on carrot sticks and broccoli and celery... are those good choices? As far as, are they high in phos, med, or low... i know they gotta be better than chips or something lol

Fresh carrot sticks, broccoli and celery aren't even on the radar screen for Phosphorus. So, they are not high in Phosphorus.
The question should be: Are these high in potassium and the answer is they are "higher" in potassium than some of the lower vegetables like green beans. 1/2 cup of raw carrots grated is 178 mg (250+ is considered High)
I think carrot sticks, broccoli and celery are a good choice for a snack, but don't go hog wild.

Thanks! :2thumbsup; I currently don't need to watch my potassium, so I am glad they aren't on the radar for phosphorus, cuz i am starting to starve by not eating lots of snakcs n stuff :lol; (im not starving literally, but i feel like it)

i eat a crapload of broccoli, carrots celery sticks, raw cauliflower beets bell peppers, water chestnuts etc...then i top it all off with a nice n lite ranch dressing....hmmmmmmmmmmmm what a snack yum yum
