I know this may sound weird but could smoking marijuana help dialysis patients with the nausea,lack of appetite,stomack aches and other problems???

I'm not sure, but if you're on the wait list for a kidney some centers will disqualify a recipient if they smoke anything, or do drugs, just FYI.

Yes weed can help with many problems. And it does not come with the side effects of many MAN made drugs that are out there.
Sadly what Okarol says is also 100% Correct. So Never admit to smoking weed.
But feel free to drink yourself to death :sarcasm;

Now I love to smoke a good hootie as much as anyone...BUT- there is also aspergilliosis mold spores that occurs naturally on pot ( and fruit sometimes) which- IF you get pneumonia from it, with your weakened immune system, can KILL you. My husband died of pneumonia,( they never got far enough in treating him to determine which bug it was- and at the time I didn't care-dead is dead)- I have always wondered if it was from aspergilliosis- or if was a hospital acquired bug.
That being said- without it- he could barely eat without puking.
and to repeat NEVER NEVER admit to using it to any medical professional- there is a code for that, and once its in your record, you cant get it out, and transplant doctors will be ridiculous about it.

The mold spores will also do nasty things to transplanted organs, apparently.
On the other hand, if you don't qualify for a transplant, and don't have to please the doctor's protocols to stay on the list, then by all means, do whatever helps you! If you are on the list, they can run any random drug test they feel like doing on the monthly blood sample you send them, and if you show positive for anything they don't approve of, you can probably kiss the list goodbye. . . (Their field, their bat and ball - you have to play by their rules to stay in the game!)

I lost my perfectly healthy living donor cause he told them that he smoked dope.......... and we were all dont with testing and ready to set a transplant date..... Had workded on this for months.......I dont not smoke dope and I am still on the list....... and now looking for a new kidney.........

In a word NO ! If you have all these problems then you need to speak to your neph ! They can be treated 'legally' and may be the result of not enough dialysis ! If you are just looking for an excuse to smoke it , then kidney failure is not the one!

I'd say yes, but all & all it could to lead to even more issues. However, it's a personal choice to use it in this way, but more fool them i say.
