Dialysis patients need to eat more high quality protein, and that tends to come from egg whites, meat, chicken and fish.  Many veggies and sources of vegetarian protein (like beans) can be high in phosphorus or potassium and that's not good.  We've had threads about this topic before so try to do a site search and you probably will find it.  If I come across it I'll post it here.
While on D, we need more protein than the normal person and while pre dialysis we need a low protein diet.
