This annoying issue I am having must be related to dialysis. This just started about a mounth ago. When I wake up every moring my hands and fingers are stiff and sore. I am thinking it's a curlation issue. Once I am up and moving around the stifness just goes away. Usually within 5 minutes.
If i sit for long periods (like at work) my legs get stiff and sore. Could this be a dialysis issue or am I just getting old. ;D I'll be 41 come June.

This may be small issue as sometimes it happens in normal conditions also, before going for dialysis do consult your doctor may be this actually need any dialysis or it may be just because of low in sugar value in your blood. I think you should not ignore it and approach a physician so that he can properly examine your condition.

Heh, Im 26 and i am stiff when i wake as well. I think its got alot to do with levels of phos and stuff like that. I know its usually worse if ive missed a treatment, or get off early (yes i know bad girl >:D) Ive asked my dr about it, but his answer to all of my questions seems to be "its all part of dialysis" (or my ever favorite, because ur overweight) My Left arm, the Fistula arm, gives me alot of trouble, numb and tingles. "steal syndrome" is what they call it i believe.
Im thankful im usually only stiff in the mornings, or long car rides, loong sitting periods, but i have a hyper active 6 year old boy so he doesnt let me get away with the too often lol

when my husband's phosphates were high he would get very stiff in the morning and be really itchy, expecially at night. now for some reason if he's up and moving around alot, like at the supermarket or an event, his neck gets stiff and sore, even though his phosphates are "better" (6.8)
