Title: Mayonnaisse and Bacon Grease - Are they ok for CKD diet?
Post by: Jonndad on February 10, 2010, 07:12:22 PM
These two foods seem to be low in phosphorus, potassium and protein although I realize sodium can be high in these.  If I can find low sodium mayonnaisse and bacon grease would they be kidney friendly? tx, John

Not really sure on that one, altho, bacon grease itself is not good for anyone. But, as they say, everything in moderation.

My husband has a bacon butty treat about once a fortnight, three rashers and thats it. he loves it. As jean says "every thing in moderation"
