The Hospital gave me a list of allowed fruits, and fruits to avoid. The avoid list , as we all know, targets
Oranges yet the allowed list says we can have Tangerines. Seems to me that they are pretty much the same
thing. My wife just came home with a box a great looking Clementine's. Question - are Clementine's more like Oranges
or Tangerines and can I eat them ? Please answer before my wife eats all of them.
:thx;

Clementines are tangerines, so go for it (in moderation, of course). Tangerines, also known as mandarin oranges, supposedly have less potassium than oranges.
-
they are also smaller than oranges, so eat one not six. even an orange now and again is alright as long as your labs are good.
-
I just bought more Clementines yesterday! I can eat a ton of those little devils! I had low potassium so I was allowed to though
-
Well, you can only buy them at Christmas time here so I say "eat all you can". What about a Clementine juice smoothie with a scoop of protein? Would that work?
-
I saw the weirdest thing in the supermarket the other day, clementine soda. Never seen that befiore.

Uuhmmm... for some reason that sounds good. Did you ever come across Jones' brand sodas? All kinds of funky flavors. At holiday time they even have Turkey & gravy flavored. Haven't been able to muster up the ability to try that one yet Lol.
