Title: Pain located on left side below last rib
Post by: chiefsfan301 on December 20, 2009, 04:45:13 PM
For the past year I have had a pain located on my left side very deep just below my last rib, I have discussed this with my doctor's, had a cat scan and have not come up with a clue as what causes this. Has anyone else experenced this?

I was found to have IGA nephopathy in 1994 after several years of protein in my urine, fistula created August 2009 and "D" last of October 2009.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Are you on a cholesterol drug?  I kept getting sharp, stabbing pain when I was on high doses.  Does something to your liver, apparently, and that's what causes the pain.

Yes, I have been taking drugs for cholestrol for many years, I hope my liver is on the other side and higher up, never know.

LOL - yes, that's true - but I got the sharp pains about mid back, and it wasn't necessarily only on the right.  I know several friends that experienced something similar with statin drugs.  Weird, sharp pains at random times.  I didn't connect it to the statin until a friend who was only on a statin and nothing else saw me doing the same yelp and grab she had been doing.
