I've been getting headaches lately. Driving me mad :banghead; :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;
I discussed this with my "D" nurse over the phone.
I don't think i'm too dry as i am not cramping and never keep track of my fluid intake. So think i drink plenty.
My BP is usually around 130/80 first thing in the morning before i take my meds and i'm not fluid overloaded. No shortness of breath.
I wake up in the middle of the night or morning with a headache. Today i went for a good walk and came home with a splitting headache.
Does anybody have a clue as to what it might be? Could be anything i suppose.
Am getting my quarterly bloods done next week then see my Neph, see what she says.

Kickstarts seems to have the same problem.....
I sure hope you find a reason and a fix VERY soon.

When I was on hemo I started getting headaches until I began wearing my sunglasses inside. Some folks have problems with fluorescent lighting.

Brad are you having hydration issues (you may not feel dehydrated but could be all the same, check you skin to see if it's loose)? Where are the headaches starting and moving to?
Also cut out any new foods you've introduced esp any caffiene based ones.
Accupunture is pretty good for migranes.
Good luck with it

Yeah, when i was first in hospital the lights drove me mad. But that was when my BP was skyrocketing.

Something ain't right thats for sure. But what is? I'll see if my Neph can shed some light on the issue.
Have not noticed changes to my skin. They kinda feel like tension headaches in the temple region.
Can't say i've changed my diet at all really.
Earlier in the year i'd go months without any kind of pain relief tablets, now i'm on them daily.

Try seeing a local chiropractor too. You may be having your neck out of whack. It took my headaches away.

Seen the Neph today.
Changed my binders again to 1500mg (2x 750 tablets) of Fosrenol per meal as my phosphate is around 2.7 :o and it's supposed to be below 1.45.
That was all she could come up with as a cause to my headaches.
So hopefully they dissipate soon.
Stupid thing though is i only got 90 tablets, that'll last 15 days. And no script with repeats.
I'll have to see my GP this week and try get more supplies before christmas.

Well my headaches have gone. :2thumbsup;
I have been a kilo over my dry weight for a few days, so maybe i was dehydrated? Not sure
Been at least 4 days without taking pain relief now. Thought i'd never get off them.
Have my blood drawn in a couple weeks then see the Neph, hopefully my numbers look better.
My potassium has been good so have started to eat more of that.

Great that your headaches have gone. Interesting if you were a bit dry... if you don't keep track of your fluid intake are you observing any kind of restrictions?
Wow a PO4 of 2.7 is pretty high that's full on. I'm surprised they upped your dosage of binders and didn't give you a new script? What's with that?

Richard i'd say my fluid intake is kinda normal, the more i drink the more i urinate. But also the more i retain.
Just don't binge drink anymore. May have 2 or 3 beers, whereas before i'd have a good dozen.
Don't want to get tipsy and fumble while hooking up to the cycler either.
On average my PD removes 1000ml per night.
My GP sorted me with a script for the fosrenol.
Full cost for 180 (months supply) tablets is $892. $10,000 Au per year just for a binder. :Kit n Stik;
Hooray for the PBS.
