Title: Got our date for transplant!

Sorry i know its not relevant but im really excited that at last ive been told today that we have a planned date for transplant - Jan 4th 2010. Me and my mum that is.

Everything is done and in place, surgeons happy and paperwork done. All i have to do now is go through the Human Tissue Act, which is a UK thing where i have to prove that me and my mum are related! i.e. family photos etc.

Wow - great news. Tell Mum I think she's fabulous! If she wants to talk with other donors who have been through the process, or even find a "donor buddy" have her visit the message forum at www.livingdonorsonline.org.

Not relevant? Its the most relevant thing I've heard all day! Soon hopefully you'll be off dialysis. Congratulations!

This is great news. Living donors are so brave. They are willing to put aside any fears and worries they may have about their own health for the opportunity to help others more in need. It is truly a selfless act.

Blimey Paris, I know im an emotional wreck most of the time anyway, (blamed on the adrenals) but you just made me cry with that last comment, (in a good way). It only just really hit home now whats shes doing for me. Oh no im off again!
