This has happened to me twice.
I am on PD and use a cycler machine at night for 9 hours. Sometimes I'll have to get up and go to the bathroom. Not to be gross or anything but when i feel like I have to do a #2 and I push at all I immediately get sick to my stomach.
The first time I did actually get sick. The 2nd time i almost got sick. I think both times I was on a dwell cycle.
What in the heck is going on ?? Am I just too full?? If I stop trying to go then the feeling goes away. Weird. :urcrazy;

I haven't had that happen but as the bowel is very close to the peritoneum which is why you have to be so careful about not getting constipated. I'd say that probably there's a nerve being pushed on or something that makes you feel nauseous. If you think about it, you aften feel sick when you have diarrhoea, so maybe it's something similar? Sorry, not much help.

Brightsky, hubby also reports this same thing while he is on his dwell cycle and more than once has vomited. Our neph seems to think that the pressure of "pushing" is sending a signal of nasuea to the brain because the peritoneal cavity is full. You might ask your neph to see if he agrees with that theory.

i sometimes have pain as the no2 makes its journey, both when i am dry and dwelling. when i first started pd lots of things would make me quezy... Car rides and other things ;) i think it was from the fluid moving around in side.
