I didn't eat much yesterday as I wasn't very hungry
and today my stomach is sort of queasy and I weighed 2-1/2 lbs. less
this morning from yesterday morning. Don't think I am dehydrated
as bp is not low. But was wondering how do I know if it is touch of flu,
just an upset stomach, my kidneys making me feel bad, or God forbid
beginning of perionitis, which I don't think it is as bag was clear and don't have
a fever. Do you just wait it out and see what happens? taking benadryl
because of itchy cast. wonder if that upsets stomach.
-
I don't have any answers for you-but I hope you feel better soon

Bag is clear and no fever. That is a good sign. There is a B-R-A-T diet which is easy on quezy stomaches. B stands for bananas OK so you can't have that....we are down to the R-A-T diet ..... the R stands for rice the A for Apple sauce and the T for toast. Try that.
Sometimes I don't have an appetite and I drink one of those Nepro Drinks for dialysis patients. There is a couple of posts about it on this site.
If you don't feel good for more than three days or it gets worse call the Dr. and he wont know what to tell you either.

I wonder how rats are on phosphorus LOL.
OB, I hope you're feeling better today. :cuddle;

I feel for you Ohio Buckeye. I'm always really busy and pretty happy when I have a lot of activities and projects to keep me focused away from Dialysis. Then you have a day like yours and it's disheartening.
I was going to work out and go for a hike today, but I threw on my hiking clothes and was just totally sapped. I'm at work now trying to sludge through all I need to do so I can go home and lie down AGAIN.
All my strength Ohio Buckeye. Here's to better days ahead...

I do feel some better today, tho bp is up.
That is a real problem for me.
My best friend who is a nurse said there is a virus or flu going around.
Maybe have a bit of that.
Thanks for your good thoughts.

Well I tell you what I believe about a "virus" going around, because I felt like CRAP for almost 2 weeks and for the last 3 days I have felt GREAT, my BP is normal, no irregular heartbeats, no nausea, wake up feeling good. It is so hard when I feel sick to distinguish what is causing it, thyroid, kidney failure, virus, low BP, low kt/v, it's very hard to diagnose your problem when you have multiple health problems. I am just glad I personally have been feeling great the last few days. Well except for the DAGGER my brother put through my heart: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=1588.0

Yeah you are right, I guess what they say is true huh?, the older YOU get the wiser you get. >:D

I am glad you are feeling better physically.
It is hard to figure out what is going on when you feel bad.
I read about your brother and it saddened me.
I am sorry. I know it must be difficult.
Your brother is certainly not the strong, caring person that you are.
Probably the Mom has influenced his thinking a lot.
I know it sounds like a long shot, but I'll be praying for healing of
the broken relationships in the family. It's all I know to do.
I don't think a transplant will happen for me. Too many bad genes.
My oldest brother died right before his access surgery.
Sister is only really healthy one, but diabetes is everywhere in family.
You have such strength, determination and courage. You are an
inspiration to us all. Your wife and Epokid sound absolutely
awesome. What you have did with this site is truly amazing.
Very few people can accomplish what you have, facing what you have.
Most of us would be crying "poor me".
When I feel bad or discouraged about dialysis, I think about you and
Zach, and others, and I have hope.

I hate feeling sick, because who knows what the real cause of it is? It can be dialysis related, flu related, a sinus infection, a real humdinger of an infection, or a hundred different things! :banghead;
So do you run to the doc every time you get an ache or pain? Heck no. They do not know what to tell you either and often have no idea what to do with you. Just hang in there, take two Tylenol and see of you wake up in the morning! :clap; If you feel better, good. If not try it all again the next day.
Like I said being "a little sick" sucks. When you get a fever of 103 or are throwing up your toes every half hour, then the medical profession can tell you are sick. Then they whack you full of antibiotics and try to get rid of whatever bug you might have caught. Yeah being a dialysis patient who feels "a little sick" sucks! :banghead;

:clap; I'll have to remember that "take 2 Tylenol and see if you wake up in the morning"! ;D

Well, I do feel lots better today and my bp is down pretty much
to normal. It had gotten pretty high. Lost another lb. but feel like
I'll be able to eat good today and get more protein. Like to lose about
12 more lbs. but not by being sick. Talking of seeing if you wake up, I felt so bad
Sat. eve. when I went to bed I wondered if I would wake up and thought about
writing some notes to leave or something. ill and very high bp. but woke
up Sun. morn. and really glad to wake up today feeling better and bp down.
It probably sounds crazy but if I think I might be leaving I want to stay home and not
go to hospital. I've seen too much of what has happened to my family there.
I want to go peacefully and at home.
Thanks for all the well wishes and advice.

Ya that is for sure. Last year I lost weight ... dropped from 140lbs to 112lbs in one month. Ended up malnourished and losing my hair a few months later. Not healthy. Of course I really was sick. Had the worst case of Peritonitis they saw in 20 years :o

Yeah, that is T-shirt material. :clap;
