Well yesterday was my first time on afternoons since i was told i could swap shifts !. All i can say is Wow! No more getting up at 4.30am :yahoo; I got up when i woke up , no alarm clock for me ! I had some breakfast , had a good play with the dogs (so they would sleep all afternoon!) Let them play up the garden all morning. I did 2 lots of washing , tidied the kitchen , got all my floors done even had time for some dinner before i went ! It was great ! I got home about 6.30 made a big fuss of the dogs. Everything was tidy because i'd done it all before i went out . I made something to eat , watched some tv , then around 10pm i went to bed and slept like a log. Yes afternoons are deffo better for me compared to mornings , i feel even better !!! :cheer:

Thats good Kickstart, 4.30am sounds hard. I used to do that when i was working morning shifts (5am to 12.30pm).
You sound like my mum talking about playing with your dogs.

I agree! You get your morning before your day is totally ruined! I would prefer Nocturnal first, then an evening shift where I just go home and go to bed. BUT, NO, I have a 6:30 AM shift and so I go there and sleep for 4 hours, come home and sleep for another 2 or 3 and get up and try and do something and then go to bed and lay awake! AGGGRRRRRR
:banghead;

Thanks everyone.
RichardMel , since i saw the consultant last week and asked him for something for my eyes and told him about the lights giving me migraines, he said he would have a word with the Sister on the ward (the one that told me NO WAY!) Et voila .. since then they have let me use that small room and my heads been fine , no headaches , nothing ! I understand if they need it for a reason , but if i can use it in the meantime that will be great !
Ps , just been to opticians today , to get my eyes checked out , looks like im getting a nice sexy pair of dark red reading glasses ! 8)
