Just a small thing , but its a good thing for me! I do mornings and that means being up at 4.30am. Im not a morning person so dont like to rush! Also i like to give my dogs some time running round the garden etc before i go. Also i tend to sleep badly the night before , waking every hour, worried about oversleeping ! So on Tuesday i asked if a space came up on afternoons could i be considered , or if anyone wanted to swap. The sister told me there was a waiting list and she would put me on it. Sat here this evening and i get a phonecall , would i like to go on afternoons starting ...tomorrow ! Wow how unexpected ! :cheer:

Yay. I much prefered afternoons - then you can come home and pretty much go to bed - which is usually all I anted to do after dialysis anyway. Good on you. Hope it works out way better.

I am so pleased for you. How long have you had to get up at 4.30? You must of felt the rest of the day was so long. :cheer:

Wow Kickstart, Some one is at last looking down on you, Have the morning staff got together and said "yes" lets move her. (only joking) I know what you mean about the morning shift, Alan has to be up for 5-30 to get picked up at what ever time, to get to the unit for 7-45. Its a long morning, he gets home about 12-30. The transport system is dire, but its free and we need it. To people who don't do hemo they lthink its only 4hours 3 times aweek. When you reckon it up, it works out on average as 7 hours per day. Hope you enjoy your afternoons, behave your self or they will send you back. :bandance; :bandance;

When hubby was doing in center hemo he was on the machine for 4 hrs 15 minutes but the drive was over an hour each way. It was his choice to do mornings. he wanted to have the rest of the day to himself. We spend 6 years getting up 5:30 in the morning 3 days a week. On the days he went to dialysis I went to school to plan my lessons, etc at 6:30 in the morning when he left to go to his treatment!!
Glad they could arrange for you to do afternoons Kickstart!! :2thumbsup;
